What makes us different

a bit about us

So who are we? Marie-France Gravel, founder of Bespoke Travel Design, is a 25+ year veteran of the luxury and adventure travel industry. An inveterate globetrotter by nature (she started guided trips in South America fresh out of University, where she graduated in Outdoor Recreation Management and Tourism). Her professional background combines experiential travel, extensive guiding of small groups to far-flung destinations including: Peru, Ecuador, Galapagos, Patagonia, Australia, Chile, France, Spain, to name a few, and has spent the last decade devoted to curating highly personalized luxury travel itineraries for a discerning clientele. She draws on the extensive contacts she has nurtured through the years within all realms of the travel industry – from 5star hotels to small luxury camps and local experts who know all the roads less traveled.

Whether that means designing a romantic getaway in a small luxury boutique hotel in Provence (or yurt in Mongolia) or itinerary for a multi-generation family to a grand Tuscan Villa (or private yacht charter in the Galapagos) when it comes to detail, MF spares attention to none.

All travel is flawlessly arranged to provide you with a worry-free experience. When MF designs a trip it’s not just about where you go, it’s about living the experience to the fullest. She works hard to get to know you, your interests and preferences, in order to design trips that are extraordinary and sometimes even life-changing.

Marie-France is fluent in three languages, and is currently in the planning for her next big trip, this time to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

So as you embark on your next great journey in your life, consider taking the first step in this direction. Let Marie-France create the authentic, the unforgettable, the once-in-a-lifetime .. until, that is, you plan your next trip with her.

MF’s Upcoming Travels

Our passion is travel. Every year, we attend several trade events around the world, that bring together the world’s best suppliers and buyers in high-end travel for: networking, nurturing existing relationships, seeing what’s new in the industry, and finding new hidden gems. We also travel extensively every year, doing site inspections, visiting hotels around the world, and sampling the best activities the regions have to offer, so that we can plan your trip with confidence, knowing we have been there … and sharing our travel experiences with you.

MF's Recent trip Highlight
I recently traveled, on my own, to the North of India in Ladakh, and  had the chance to stay at Shakti Himalaya, remote “village house” experiences – away from the bustle and congestion of Leh  – in the Indus River Valley. Click on the video for a taste of my trip.
